Dance Instructor
Jennifer Harrison
Miss Jen started dancing at the age of four at Errington Ballet Theatre in London Ontario, where she caught the ‘ dance bug’ for ballet and tap. Growing up in a military family she lived in several cities across Canada, giving her the opportunity to learn from many different instructors in several other dance genres including jazz, Ukrainian, highland, Romanian, baton and acro.
Competition life started in 1973 and lasted for many years. Most of her summers were spent in summer dance schools and dancing in multicultural festivals and Highland Games in many provinces.
In 1984 she passed her teachers exam in tap from the Canadian Dance Teachers Association, her Elementary ballet exam from the Royal Academy of Dance, became a member of the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dance and began her teaching career.
While taking a break from teaching to raise her busy family, she has been adjudicating competitions.
Miss Jen is excited to be putting on her tap shoes again and teaching as part of the Starbound team!

Dance Instructor
Dawson Luke
Miss Dawson started taking ballet classes when she was three years old! From there she fell in love with dance and began to take additional classes in jazz, tap, contemporary, and pointe. Dawson grew up in Fernie B.C. and participated in several competitions, exams, and dance conventions with her home studio, Motion Dance Academy. She has completed her ADAPT jazz and tap exams up to Intermediate 2, and her RAD ballet exams up to Intermediate Foundation. At age 15, Dawson started teaching dance and immediately had a passion for it.
When she graduated high school she moved to Lethbridge A.B. where she completed her degree in Human Resources. Although she loves working in the HR field, Dawson knew that she was still meant to teach dance. Even in elementary school she knew she always wanted to be a dance teacher, which is why she is thrilled to be joining the team at Starbound Dance Center!
